Our Policies
SkillsNest operates at the intersection of migration, employment and government decision-making. Every visa grant, sponsorship approval and worker placement we help facilitate affects someone’s livelihood, family and future. We take that responsibility seriously, and we believe transparency is the only credible way to demonstrate it.
This page sets out the policies that govern how we operate — for candidates, employer clients, partners, and anyone else engaging with SkillsNest. Where a policy is also required by law, we say so. Where we go further than the law requires, we say that too.
Ethical Recruitment Policy
Our foundational commitment to candidates and employers: no candidate is ever charged for being introduced to an employer, for a job offer, or for any visa or sponsorship outcome. Employers pay the genuine costs of recruitment and sponsorship; candidates pay only for real, disclosed services delivered to them as individuals. This policy also covers worker freedom, non-discrimination, privacy, and how to raise a concern.
Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
We have zero tolerance for bribery, corruption, and facilitation payments — in Australia or overseas, regardless of local custom or amount. This policy sets out our prohibitions, our gift and hospitality thresholds, our approach to overseas sourcing partners, and what to do if anyone is ever asked for an improper payment in connection with a SkillsNest engagement.
Modern Slavery Statement
Migration-linked recruitment is a sector recognised by Australian regulators as carrying elevated modern slavery risk. We publish this Statement voluntarily — our revenue is currently below the threshold that makes reporting mandatory — because we believe the workers we place deserve transparency about how we identify and manage that risk, including where our own controls are still maturing.
Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
SkillsNest is committed to equal employment opportunity for all individuals, making every employment and recruitment decision based on merit, capability, and qualifications — never on personal characteristics such as race, gender, age, disability, or immigration status. We maintain a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying, and hold our employer clients to the same standards when engaging candidates we have sourced or placed.
Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store and protect personal information — including for candidates whose data may be shared with prospective employers or processed by overseas partners.
A note on migration advice
SkillsNest is a sourcing and workforce-services provider, not a Registered Migration Agent. We do not provide immigration assistance. Migration advice is provided separately by independent Registered Migration Agents (RMAs), engaged under their own MARN and Code of Conduct.
Acknowledgement of Country
SkillsNest acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate, and pays respect to Elders past and present.
