Connect tools around the work

Clarify information, permissions and failure handling before integrating systems.

skillsnest.aus October 10, 2026

An integration should make a real handoff easier. Start by identifying what information needs to move, who uses it and which system should remain the source of truth.

Map the required fields and ownership. Decide how duplicates, missing values and failed deliveries will be handled. Give each connection only the access needed for its task. Keep credentials out of documents, browser code and shared spreadsheets.

Test a small set of representative scenarios before expanding. Include exceptions and recovery, not just the successful path. Record how the team can see a failure, correct the source information and safely retry the action. Ongoing ownership is part of the integration, not an afterthought.
